We'd love to hear from you.

Overview

In this interactive workshop, you will learn how to conduct an assessment, use a logic model to plan a new project or reassess a current one, and prepare for a meaningful evaluation. Attend this course to learn project-planning practices that help you build accountability and strategic thinking, reveal assumptions, and create a targeted effort with measurable results.

During the preliminary Get Ready portion of the course, you'll engage in self-guided learning for up to 45 minutes. Then, when we Get Together, you'll spend time in live learning sessions, practice applying what you’re learning to your own project idea, and, in the virtual delivery, join a 25-minute project consultation with an instructor. Participants may attend individually or with other members of a project team.

This Office for Coastal Management instructor-led course can be delivered either virtually or onsite.

Learning Outcomes

  • Assess your understanding of the situation and needs driving the project team’s actions and plans
  • Apply a systems approach to logically connect project resources, actions, and outcomes
  • Create a functional draft of your project logic model for immediate use
  • Generate performance measures for project reporting and evaluation
  • Prepare for a meaningful evaluation of your project
