Overview
This user-friendly web application helps users visualize observed sea level data, compare it to projected sea level change, and estimate when tidal and extreme weather levels will intersect with elevation thresholds related to local infrastructure, such as roads, power-generating facilities, and dunes. This tool supports guidance for incorporating sea level change into U.S. Army Corps of Engineers projects.
Features
- Visualize observed water levels from over 140 NOAA tide gauges
- Calculate trends and moving averages
- Generate sea level change projections using authoritative sources
- Estimate when water levels may cross elevation thresholds relevant to local infrastructure (e.g., critical access roads, dunes, sea walls)
- Export visualizations and data as downloadable files
