Overview

These data measure the size and composition of the U.S. economy, broken down by state, using the market value of all final goods and services produced during a year. This definition includes foreign-owned factories located in the U.S., but excludes output from factories located in other countries and owned by U.S. businesses. Data are published in both real (adjusted for inflation) and current (not adjusted) dollars.
